Becky of PinksCharming is sharing with us her beautiful 2016 Christmas Tree.
Real or Artificial Tree
Real every time for me! We always had them growing up and I love having a bit of nature indoors. I love how each tree is individual, and you can’t beat the real tree smell.
My Christmas Tree Style
We go with the ‘go big or go home’ philosophy when it comes to Christmas trees! It’s as big as we can fit and has warm white fairy lights, strings of faux pearls and mainly metallic baubles. We have the odd handmade decoration and tend to go for a fairly traditional look with some red in amongst the gold and copper. We have a glass snowflake on the top.
My Tree Traditions
We have decorated it together as a family for the last few years which is lovely but can be stressful with the odd breakage! I normally have to rearrange it a little bit after the girls have gone to bed, as I’m a bit of a control freak!
My Special Decorations
I have a lovely delicate glass angel that my mum got me. It’s quite fragile so I am always scared it’s going to get dropped!
Creating Christmas Magic Today during the Christmas Season
We build up to Christmas the last few weeks in November onwards, and have been to Winter Wonderland at Centre Parcs for the last two years. We go to carol services, National Trust properties and a visit to Father Christmas somewhere along the way. We normally do some kind of Christmas baking, and this year I made my own simple door wreath. This year we went to the Winter Wonderland at World’s End near Aylesbury, and will be going back next year as it was brilliant. This year I repurposed an M and S beauty advent calendar for the girls, which was a total success!
