Steph of Steph’s Two Girls is sharing with us her beautiful 2016 Christmas Tree.
Real or Artificial Tree
Love the look of real but have artificial – has saved us loads of money over the 10 years we’ve had it!
My Christmas Tree Style
We have a tall and wide tree, and it’s been decorated the same for the past 10 years – it’s tradition now! Involves red and silver tinsel and as many red and silver decorations as possible, plus all the ones the girls have made.
My Tree Traditions
Presents underneath it suddenly appear overnight on Christmas Eve! We don’t put them out before as the suspense is too much to bear for our autistic girl.
My Special Decorations
Yes, a soft Father Christmas that my Mum gave me which belonged to my Nana. Plus a customised one with all the family’s names on (including pets!) and homemade baubles with photos of the girls in.
Creating Christmas Magic Today during the Christmas Season
Lots of food and drink. Cards on display and house decorations – got to have lights outside and in! We try and get the tree up and decorated at the start of December so there’s lots of time to enjoy. We always go to see the panto locally as part of a school trip, and we drive around the roads in the evening to see local house light displays. We also do Elf on the Shelf and love to decorate Christmas cupcakes 🙂
